To complement the release of our allChimp Component, Joomtraders has created allChimpRegister to allow for easy subscription and unsubscription of guests, without having to externally link to the forms provided by MailChimp.

First released in November 2009, this extension makes use of AJAX to ensure that users do not navigate away from the website page they are viewing when submitting their details.

The extension is a single module file, allowing for easy placement within a Joomla! website and comes with pre-created classes, so that it can be styled using CSS to suit individual tastes and website designs.

The latest version, version 2.0.1, is compliant with Joomla! 1.6 and Joomla! 1.7. The latest version contains a fix for allowing dashes/hyphens in email addresses.

If you have Joomla 1.5, allChimpRegister 1.2.6 is available for you! This latest release contains the same fix as above.

1.2.5 has a different success message. When a guest subscribes successfully, the success message has changed from 'Email Successfully Added' to 'Email Successfully Added. You will be emailed a link that you will need to click on to confirm your subscription.'

1.2.4 fixes a bug whereby changes to the MailChimp list (e.g. merge tags and interest groups) are not taking effect on the allChimpRegister subscription form.

1.2.3 includes additional language support.

1.2.2 contains a security fix for a flaw that was found in version 1.2.1. Note that current users should please update to this latest version.
