1. All configuration settings for this extension reside under the allInstantTweet component, in the Administration backend. Once logged in successfully, access the Components dropdown and select allInstantTweet (figure 2.1).

1. The Twitter account configuration is located on the first page that appears after accessing the component through the Administration backend (figure 2.2). Make sure to select the Save the Values button, located at the bottom of the page, after making changes. The fields are:

Twitter Account Status: The twitter account you wish to connect to.
Connection Timeout: This field is for adjusting the time allowed for the extension to attempt connection to Twitter. In the event that Twitter is down or is running slow, this will stop the extension and/or website from hanging.
2. To update the Twitter Account, please select the Setup Twitter Account hyperlink (figure 2.3.2).![]()

3. This will take you externally through to api.twitter.com. Insert you account username/email and password and press the Allow button to continue (figure 2.3.3).

4. On success, the browser will redirect back into the administration backend of your website, and will display Information Updated (figure 2.3.4).

posting text to twitter
1. When editing an article, highlight the piece of text which will be sent to Twitter (figure 3.1). This is limited to 120 characters.

2. To tweet the selected text on the page to Twitter, click on the allInstantTweet button located at the base of the WYSIWYG editor (figure 3.2)

3. A pop-up will appear, displaying the status of the posting. If a tweet has been successful a “success” message will appear (figure 3.3), otherwise if a timeout or incorrect account details cause an unsuccessful attempt, it will state so.

4. With the message now successfully tweeted, open a new browser window, and go to the Twitter page specified in the backend to see the result. The text will be visible (figure 3.4).
Click the Save button when the changes have been completed.
