Facebook and Twitter up and down

Twitter Service Disruption

For those of you who use allArticleAnnounce, allInstantTweet and/or allInstantFacebook, you may have been having problems posting to Twitter and Facebook during the last day or two.

Twitter was overloaded earlier this morning, and a few minutes ago was not posting regular tweets. The Twitter development team have posted on their status page that they are experiencing a service disruption to statuses, the home timelines and the OAuth API. This means that our Joomla! extensions may not currently be able to publish updates to twitter.

Twitter did something wrong

Facebook has also been having similar problems, and has been experiencing downtime during the last 36 hours. As such, allArticleAnnounce and allInstantFacebook may not currently be working as expected.

At this point in time these problems are out of our control, and we hope the Twitter and Facebook teams the best of luck in getting our favourite social networking platforms back up and running as soon as possible.
