Joomla 1.6 is getting ever closer! Earlier this week, the lastest beta of Joomla 1.6 was announced. With the upcoming scheduled release of Joomla! 1.6 RC1 on the 11th of December, this 15th beta release could be the last beta we see released before Joomla! 1.6 is finalised. Everyone in the Adelaide Joomla! world is really pleased to see this progress.

"We expect to release version 1.6 Release Candidate 1 on December 13, 2010 (unless we encounter serious and unanticipated difficulties)."

As of writing, there are now only four issues left that are blocking the first release candidate (first release of possible final code) of Joomla! 1.6. Exciting, exciting!
