allArticleAnnounce has been updated to version 1.6.2, with an added function to fine tune the extension to work on slower hosts.

Some users have previously been reporting a blank screen when trying to set up Twitter. When testing the user's site, we found that the problem was caused by the host not responding quick enough when configuring Twitter and / or Facebook, with the host responding in around 7000ms (70 seconds, instead of under 30). We have added a timeout field in the component parameters window, so users can fine tune the time required.

allDebugControl lets you control who gets to see the Joomla! debug code. By selecting a privileged user group or a specific user, allDebugControl makes Joomla! display the debug code only to those who need to view it.

allArticleAnnounce has been updated to 1.6.1 following a non-critical bug fix.

This latest version solves a problem with HTML character entities that was affecting posts to Facebook for some users. For example, if your article had a non-breaking space character ( ), Facebook may have been writing it as   and not as an actual space ( ).

For users of allArticleAnnounce, you need only update (uninstall/reinstall) the content plugin (allArticleAnnounce - Content.zip).

Joomla 1.6 is getting ever closer! Earlier this week, the lastest beta of Joomla 1.6 was announced. With the upcoming scheduled release of Joomla! 1.6 RC1 on the 11th of December, this 15th beta release could be the last beta we see released before Joomla! 1.6 is finalised. Everyone in the Adelaide Joomla! world is really pleased to see this progress.
