Facebook has decided to revert on last Wednesday’s variable change and our fix for the original issue is no longer working.

If you currently have allArticleAnnounce installed on a website, you will need to completely reinstall to the latest version of allArticleAnnounce in order to continue posting to Facebook – this includes users who made the update last week.

In order to halt this issue from resurfacing, we have decided to modify the component to confirm the existence of the required variable before sending data through to the social network.

Attention allArticleAnnounce users!

Facebook has modified and updated their API today which has affected the ability of allArticleAnnounce to post to Facebook. We have immediately made the required changes to the extension which resolves this issue.

The fix has only been applied to the latest version of allArticleAnnounce, which can be accessed through your account subscription menu once logged in. If you are in possession of the most recent version, the only file which will require replacing is allArticleAnnounce- (Contents).zip

If you do not have the latest version, please upgrade by uninstalling the older version (1.0.0 and 1.0.2) and then installing the latest version (1.1.0). 

Last week twelve men aged from 24 to 50, gathered for breakfast at a quiet restaurant in Glenelg (a lovely beachside suburb of Adelaide). From the outside it wouldn't have been clear why we were there and if you saw some of our backgrounds it may have confused you more. There was a retailer, an educator, a council worker and ex-civil engineer, an entrepreneur, a couple of graphic artists, some software engineers, a project manager and a keen interstate social networker. Aside from sharing breakfast there was a lot in common.

Joomtraders were privileged to be able to attend Adelaide's Joomla User Group meeting in March. At this latest meeting we were all blessed by the presence of Joomla! evangelist, Andrew Eddie. Andrew has been involved with the development of Joomla! since it started and is still one of the primary developers of the Joomla! Content Management System (CMS). It was clear from the time spent with Andrew that he has a passion for both the community that uses Joomla! as well as for Joomla! itself
