We currently have users experiencing issues with allArticleAnnounce and allInstantTweet no longer posting to Twitter and Facebook.

The major issue that has been discovered is Basic Authentication (Username & Password) has been deprecated. All applications/extensions that integrated externally to Twitter must now use OAuth. This is a considerably more secure way to authenticate externally.

You can find that Twitter was under maintenance over the past several days as well, which would explain many of the outages before the update http://status.twitter.com/

Whilst we take all measures humanly possible to make sure that our extensions integrate with the systems as advertised, the third party software/services they utilise are unfortunately out of our control at all times.

We are currently working towards releasing an update which will fix the above issues. This is already underway but will not be up until Monday at the earliest due to testing and writing the associated documentation.

allArticleAnnounce empowers users with the ability of tapping into two of the Internet’s most powerful social media websites Facebook and Twitter. Cut down on double handling by publishing content across three separate websites with a single click. By cross linking content across multiple websites and creating a social community, websites can expect to improve their search engine optimisation and their following.

Users of allArticleAnnounce also have the ability to specify exactly what categories they wish to have updates come from as well, meaning that only the updates which are needed are updated to realms of Facebook and Twitter.

In version 1.2.0, allArticleAnnounce has a new ability to post to multiple Group and Personal pages in Facebook in a single update. Numerous small bugs have also been resolved to give our users a greater social networking experience. Tinyurl.com has replaced by to.ly to create short URLs as Tinyurl.com has been found to be more stable.

It has been a while since our last news update here at Joomtraders,but that is all about to change with Joomtraders kicking back in to high gear over the coming months!

I should point out that our hiatus has not been malicious, nor has it been stagnation. If you have had to submit a support request over the past few months, you would be very much aware of this, as well as being very well acquainted with David Han. David is the brilliant coder behind the majority of our best extensions, including allChimp and allArticleAnnounce. David has been flat stick daily, responding to forum enquires, emails and general support questions and is doing a fantastic job of it.

However, when he is not continuing the development of the current Joomtraders line-up (some say he can code as he sleeps) David has been busy with several new extensions. These new extensions are to be launched over the next few weeks, and it would be a mistake to not mention, they will be launched free!
